Tips For Energy Conservation

As the temperature rises, so does demand for electricity. It makes sense(and cents) to use energy efficiently. Simple tips for reducing heat include closing windows or shades on the sunny side of the building, using fans to circulate cool air effectively, and using an oven or dryer during the cooler parts of the day can make a big difference.  These are just a few of the ways you can improve energy efficiency. The Acting Attorney General, the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, and the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU), represented by the Division of Law, have filed Complaints against three third-party energy suppliers. The State alleges that the three companies, among other things, deceived consumers through misrepresentations about “competitive” monthly pricing and/or guarantees of reductions in monthly electric and/or natural gas bills. Rather than realize savings, the consumers' energy bills skyrocketed this past winter.
