Scam Awareness

If you receive a phone call from the power company regarding your utility service and possible shutoff due to unpaid invoices, be cautious. Don't give credit card or payment information over the phone. Ask for a phone number to call back and compare the number you are given with the phone number for your utility. There have been several scammers who pose as the utility in a phishing scam. Be alert, be aware.
