Michael Bange was nominated to the NJ Board of Public Utilities by Governor Murphy and unanimously confirmed by the New Jersey State Senate in December 2023.

 

Prior to his nomination, Commissioner Bange served as Senior Manager of Operations for New Jersey American Water, overseeing the delivery of critical water services for more than 650,000 customers in 24 towns in three counties. Mr. Bange began his career in construction at American Water, installing and repairing water infrastructure, where he gained valuable experience as a utility laborer.

 

Throughout his career, Mr. Bange was known for his customer-oriented approach to the provision of high-quality utility services to the people of New Jersey. Mr. Bange is a member of American Water Works Association and is a lifelong resident of New Jersey and resides in Cranford Township with his family.
